Having more to do certainly suits Brittni Donaldson.
After spending two seasons on Nick Nurse’s NBA staff, learning from more experienced coaches and teaching techniques and biding her time in a support role, Donaldson is now on the front row of a G League bench, with more responsibility and more input. And she’s thriving.
“We have less people, so for me it’s more hands-on,” said the 27-year-old Donaldson, an assistant with the Raptors 905. ”I’m running film sessions for the team, I’m running drills in practice, I’m doing scouts.
“These are all things I supported with last year but didn’t actually get the opportunity to do myself.
