The Toronto Raptors head west down the 401 highway (well, no, they will fly, but they could drive) to visit their nearest rivals, the Detroit Pistons.
The Raptors must somehow forget their dismal performance against the OKC Thunder on Thursday night, and concentrate on defeating a motivated Pistons team which is clinging to the eighth and final playoff berth in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
Toronto threw away a relatively easy victory in February by allowing Detroit to wipe out a 16-point deficit in Q4. If that humiliation isn’t sufficient motivation, how about the fact the Raptors are in a dogfight just to retain their #4 seed, with the Atlanta Hawks hovering overhead?
