It doesn’t seem to matter who is in uniform for the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs, who are currently in fifth place in the NBA Standings, have been without Kawhi Leonard the majority of the year and will be playing without him, Manu Ginobili, and Rudy Gay, Friday night.
This is nothing new for the Spurs. The Spurs, who infamously rested their “Big Three” in 2012 against the Miami Heat, have been resting players for years and having success playing without those starters.
Earlier this season, the Spurs rested both All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge and starting point guard Tony Parker in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder and still almost came away with the win.
