If the Memphis Grizzlies’ year to date were a novel, its title would be “A Tale of Two Seasons”. They started 7-4, and since then…1-12. Severely challenged offensively and with little depth, the Grizz are likely to struggle even when sort-of star point guard Mike Conley returns from his Achilles injury. No one knows when that will be, and certainly not tonight.
The Grizz are now under the tutelage of an interim coach, J.B. Bickerstaff, after management pushed David Fizdale aside. This is the second opponent with a temporary bench boss in a row for the Raptors, which must be some kind of a weird record.
