The Toronto Raptors were coming off a tougher than expected game against the Atlanta Hawks, then had to travel to face Detroit 24 hours later. The Pistons, if they were going to retain any hope of belatedly grabbing a playoff berth, needed a win. The result was a crazy, poorly played though thrilling win for Toronto.
The Raptors haven’t been shooting the ball well from beyond the arc in recent weeks, and that unhappy trend reared its ugly head in Q1. However, they managed to take a four-point lead into the second quarter, whereupon began some of the worst hoops Toronto has played all year.
