Unhappy with his team’s defensive slip the past month, Raptors coach Dwane Casey is starting to feel like a soapbox preacher at noon at the corner of Bay and Front.
“I’m the only one in the room yelling and screaming, ‘Hey, we’re not as good as we think we are,’ ” Casey said ahead of Tuesday’s 104-99 win over the now 18-46Brooklyn Nets.
After their worst half of basketball this season — trailing the lowly Nets 58-42 before getting some game-saving heroics from Kyle Lowry (23 points, nine assists) and DeMar DeRozan (25 points) — Casey wasn’t the only one screaming it.
