The Toronto Raptors shot terribly, attempted only 12 free throws, turned the ball over 17 times, and yet still had a chance to win against one of the NBA’s best teams, the Denver Nuggets.
After trailing all game, the Raptors were tied with seven seconds, when an odd, anti-climatic sequence of events allowed Denver to win 106-103.
The start of the game featured a nice back-and-forth between the two teams. Toronto couldn’t hit a shot all game, but it was particularly bad early on, as the Raptors went 3-22 from distance in the first half. Despite their struggles, the game was tied halfway through the second quarter.
