INDIANAPOLIS—The Toronto Raptors have never won a best-of-seven playoff series. They may have to a win a best-of-three to accomplish that.
Unable to withstand the predictable early-game surge by the Indiana Pacers, the Raptors dropped a 100-83 decision here Saturday afternoon in Game 4 of their first-round series.
The Pacers’ win — behind a torrid first-half outburst that buried the Raptors — turned the series into a best-of-three with the Raptors holding home-court advantage.
Game 5 is Tuesday in Toronto, Game 6 will return here on Friday and, if necessary, Game 7 will be at the Air Canada Centre on May 1.
