There has not been an abundance of good to come out of this disjointed, dispirited, disappointing Raptors season. There are myriad reasons for it — COVID-19, relocation, injuries — and the impact of all will be explained at length when the season comes to its end.
But then there is OG Anunoby, the 23-year-old who has taken most challenges and beaten them back, a multi-skilled piece of the future whose play makes coaches and teammates smile in a frown-filled season.
“It probably makes everybody happy,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said recently. “I’m glad that he’s at this point.
