The Raptors have another piece of the puzzle locked in place.
OG Anunoby, cementing his spot as a foundational piece of the future, has agreed to a four-year contract extension worth about $72 million (U.S.), according to sources and published reports.
The deal includes a player option on the fourth season but keeps Anunoby in the fold with Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet for the short term.
The 22-year-old Anunoby’s extension, which will kick in for the 2021-22 season, had to be completed before 6 p.m. Monday. Anunoby will make about $3.8 million this season.
