Responsibility and freedom, and the emerging Raptors star has been lapping it up.
With the roster decimated by a rash of COVID-19 absences, which followed a run of injuries, Powell has become the team’s top scoring option more often than not. He has handled it wonderfully, even if the Raptors haven’t had any string of success recently.
Powell is playing without bowing to the pressure. He’s been assertive and dominant and as bad as things are for the squad, imagine how ugly it could be if he wasn’t playing as well as he has been.
