It’s a unique look the Raptors have been using of late to jump-start production off the bench, one that came not out of actual desperation but out of something close to it.
They have decided to run out the team’s three tallest players at the same time at key points in games, letting Chris Boucher and Precious Achiuwa and Christian Koloko use their length and athleticism to do their disruptive stuff even if there is no guarantee it will work.
“I’m just, again, trying to come up with a solution after we had such a rough stretch there with guys off the bench,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said this week.
