HONOLULU—Read nothing into the decision to start C.J. Miles in the first exhibition game for the Raptors.
Coach Dwane Casey said he’ll mix and match as the pre-season rolls on, and used Miles in Sunday’s opener here just to get him some court time with the other starters and some game conditioning.
“He had a family situation where he missed like two weeks of workouts,” Casey said of Miles. “He worked his butt off this summer and kind of hit a two-week period where he didn’t get to work. That hurt him a little bit, and hopefully this week and these games will help him get back in game shape.
