Malachi Flynn has a small fracture of his left cheekbone and the Raptors guard will miss at least a few exhibition games.
The team announced this morning that Flynn suffered the injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s win over Utah and will wear a face shield when he returns “which is anticipated before the start of the regular season.”
Flynn, entering his third NBA season, is vying along with Dalano Banton for a key backup role to Fred VanVleet.
The six-foot-one guard was examined after being hit in Sunday’s game and returned to play.
