Luis Scola heads to We the North – final piece of Raptors’ puzzle?

The dizzying rebuild of the Toronto Raptors continued apace last night, with news veteran power forward Luis Scola will leave the Indiana Pacers to sign a one-year deal for about $3M. Luis stands 6’9″ and weighs in at 240 well-sculpted pounds. He’s our second Argentinian (Carlos Delfino being the first) and the oldest player we’ve got at 35. Our new forward was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 2002, but spurned the NBA to play in Europe for five years. He was certainly ready for North America when he joined the Houston Rockets in 2007. Luis was a consistent double-figures scorer and aggressive rebounder for a number of seasons, though his minutes and production dropped off during his two years in Indianapolis.
