With the Air Canada Centre crowd on its feet, hushed, waiting, and almost scared to move, Kyle Lowry delivered. Fans frozen in anticipation, game tied at 97, shot clock ticking down, Lowry stepped back and drilled a 23-foot jumper that sailed cleanly through the net. The first game winner in his NBA career, the shot gave him a career-high 43 points, and Toronto a victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“No pressure was on this game,” Lowry said during his on court walk-off interview, after being mobbed by DeMar DeRozan, Luis Scola, Bismack Biyombo, and every other player on the Raptors bench.
