Lowry, DeRozan carry Raptors to victory over Jazz

If you’re going to be a two-man team, it sure helps if those two guys are outstanding.

With their all-star backcourt carrying the load for an otherwise scuffling starting five, the Toronto Raptors beat the Utah Jazz 104-94 at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday night.

Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan combined for 63 points — the other three Toronto starters had 16 combined — as the Raptors managed to hang on through a shaky fourth quarter.

Lowry finished with 32 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and DeRozan had 18 of his 31 in the second half to give Toronto its 11th straight win at home to kick off a seven-game homestand.
