It’s been a big year of crossing things off the to-do list for Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. The duo helped Toronto to its best season in franchise history — reaching the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers — and also representing the Raptors during Toronto’s first All-Star weekend on their home floor. This offseason they’ll get to accomplish another first together, as they’ll be suiting up and representing Team USA at the Rio Olympics.
“Words cannot put it into context,” DeRozan said of making the team. “Because to sit here with the USA on our chest, 12 of the best basketball players in the world, to go out there and compete for our whole country that’s going to be watching us, the whole world is going to be watching us, it’s amazing.
