Kyle Lowry’s impressive ascent in the ranks of NBA point guards has reached a new height.
According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowsi of The Vertical web site, the Toronto Raptors guard has agreed to join the United States team that will defend its gold medal at the Rio Olympic Games.
Lowry is coming off the best season of his 10-year career, averaging 21.2 points and 6.4 assists per game while leading the Raptors to the Eastern Conference finals.
He was named the all-NBA third team in post-season balloting, and made his second start in the mid-season all-star game.
