Kyle Lowry took out a full-page ad in the Friday edition of the Toronto Star newspaper, bidding adieu to Raptors fans and thanking the city of Toronto.
“Thank you for being HOME, Toronto. Forever grateful, LOVE K-Low,” read a caption with the ad, featuring a photo of a jubilant Lowry celebrating the Raptors’ 2019 championship win in the moments following Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
The franchise icon, dubbed the GROAT or greatest Raptor of all time, is leaving the team after nine seasons in a sign and trade with the Miami Heat.
