Kyle Lowry will play for Team World while Serge Ibaka (who was born in Congo) will represent Team Africa. Team Africa consists of players born in Africa or second-generation Africans.
Raptors president Masai Ujiri and the teams assistant coach Patrick Mutombo will also be involved in the NBA Africa game.
Former Raptor Bismack Biyombo will also participate and represent Team Africa.
Proceeds from the NBA Africa Game are in support of UNICEF, the Nelson Mandela Foundation and SOS Children’s Villages South Africa.
This is only the second time the NBA has held a game in Africa.
