The growth of OG Anunoby was highly anticipated coming into this season, however, he has not improved as much as we thought he would. To be fair, a lot of this has to do with his role changing throughout the year as well as personal issues that he has dealt with this season. At only 21 years of age, his potential as a 6’8 232lbs forward is still undeniable given his defensive versatility and respectable three-point shot. However, there are still a number of things he struggles to do as an on-ball threat.
Another reason for OG’s regression is that opposing teams now have a more detailed scouting report on him after he spent a full year in the league.
