It’s official, Kawhi Leonard will be a Toronto Raptor next season. Leonard, along with Danny Green was sent to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, and a protected first round pick.
The trade sends out two key pieces for Toronto. Jakob Poeltl was a former lottery pick and the team’s backup center last season. DeRozan, meanwhile, was arguably the team’s best player last season and the face of the franchise.
Both talented players, but it takes some cracked eggs to make an omelet and Toronto is receiving more talent than they are sending away.
