Jerry Stackhouse named East coach for D-League All-Star Game.

Fear not, weary Raptors fans. Even with Dwane Casey’s All-Star coaching job in jeopardy following the Raptors’ recent death spiral, the franchise will be represented on the sidelines in New Orleans two-plus weeks from now. Raptors 905 boss man Jerry Stackhouse has been named as the head coach of the D-League’s Eastern Conference All-Stars.

Stack’s first season as a pro head coach has gone tremendously well. At 21-7, the 905 pace the East by three games with an impressive 21-7 record — a mark buoyed by wins in the team’s last nine games.

It stands out that Stackhouse has succeed without much mercenary help from the big club.
