Fred VanVleet will do everything in his power to limit the impact of the best three-point shooter in NBA history when the Raptors host Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.
He’ll also do it knowing that Curry paved the way for so many like the Raptors guard to even have NBA careers.
“He’s made it possible for me to be in the NBA, first and foremost,” VanVleet said Thursday. “With the three-point shot being where it is, I’m not sure my career would look the same if I wasn’t allowed to take the threes that I’m allowed to take and work on my game that way, to be able to expand my game.
