Hometown kid, NBA rookie, starting guard with a ton of family watching from a private box.
It was almost a perfect night Friday for Jalen Harris of the Raptors.
The native of the Dallas suburb of Duncanville, who grew up idolizing the Mavericks in the era around their 2011 NBA championship, had a career-best 31 points in Toronto’s 114-110 defeat that will go down as his best memory of his first professional season.
“Definitely was a little extra juice from knowing my family was here, being in Dallas, being home, and then against this team,” Harris said.
