If you’ve been watching the Raptors for the entirety of their playoff run, you’ve become accustomed to the way they yank at your chain.

You’ve watched them play a stinker — and they’ve mailed in more than a few this spring, none more pungent than Wednesday night’s 38-point loss in Cleveland — and you’ve declared them finally exposed for what they truly are. At times they looked unequipped to stop the superstar likes of Indiana’s Paul George or Miami’s Dwyane Wade. And more than once against LeBron James and the Cavaliers, in an Eastern Conference final in which their three losses have come by an astounding average of 29 points, the Raptors have looked like a bunch of weak-willed tent-folders unworthy of the stage.
