Raptors fans have waited 15 years to see their team playing past the first few days of May.
After Sunday’s Game 7 win over the Pacers, Tuesday’s Game 1 against the Miami Heat should feel like the NBA’s promised land.
The Raptors will go up against one of the game’s greatest shooting guards ever, in 34-year-old Dwyane Wade. They’ll also get a chance to right the wrong of the first game. The Raptors are 1-8 all-time in Game 1s, including their playoff opener this year against the Pacers.
HOW THEY GOT HERE
The Heat won the Southwest Division with a 48-34 season, while climbing a mountain of adversity along the way.
