While the Toronto Raptors walked away from the Smoothie King Center with a fairly comfortable victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, it wasn’t without concern. The Raptors lost both Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka to injuries in the first half, but by the time the second half rolled around, this game was already done and dusted.
Lowry injured his thumb when it looked like he bent it back himself attempting a steal, while Ibaka’s looked a little more serious – spraining his ankle when landing awkwardly on OG Anunoby’s heel. The extent of the injuries haven’t been fully disclosed, so one can only hope that neither player is out for too long.
