Fun for Kawhi in NBA Finals isn’t about ‘hero basketball’

OAKLAND, CALIF. – The Raptors offence is built around collective talents rather than individual ones, regardless of how prodigious those individual skills are.

It is read and react, get the ball in the paint and then kick it back out, let the intelligence of the players and their ability to find the right teammate in the right place dictate how it goes.

It would be easy to feed the team’s top players, to give Kawhi Leonard the ball and let him go to work, and no one would blink an eye because Leonard is that good.

But he doesn’t want that.
