The Raptors stayed too far off shooters too often, and fell for fakes too often, and didn’t close out quickly enough often enough as the Boston Celtics buried them with an excellent three-point shooting display Wednesday afternoon.
The Celtics made 14 three-pointers on Christmas Day, taking advantage of way too much shooting space afforded them by the Raptors in a 118-102 victory that spoiled the first NBA Christmas Day game in Toronto for the sellout Scotiabank Arena crowd.
A game after giving up 18 made three-pointers Monday in Indianapolis, the Raptors were lit up by the Celtics in similar fashion.
