The Toronto Raptors advanced to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in franchise history this past season. Now, coach Dwane Casey is trying to figure out how to get them over the hump.
"We're closer," Casey told reporters Tuesday in Toronto during a news conference to announce his contract extension. "But we're not there yet. There's still work to be done."
Casey signed a three-year, $18 million extension that runs through the 2018-19 season. He has been with the Raptors since 2011-12.
In his first two seasons at the helm, the Raptors compiled a 57-91 record.
