DeRozan’s complete effort lifts Raptors past Heat

It was not a night when they fired on all cylinders by any stretch of the imagination; it was an evening when, as the coach is wont to say, it looked like they were running in mud.

But a trademark of a good team is finding some way to survive and the Toronto Raptors managed that at the Air Canada Centre on Saturday night, even if it took a bit longer than usual.

DeMar DeRozan had 38 points — and two significant assists in the extra period — as the Raptors pulled out a 112-104 overtime victory over the Miami Heat to run their season record to 44-20.
