DeRozan’s ascent lets Raptors dare to dream

LeBron James was considering the future, or at least a future. At age 33, he has played more combined minutes than Michael Jordan did, or Bill Russell, or Hakeem Olajuwon. He has built one of the great careers in sports, and is still atop the world, looking to the horizons.

“The only thing is with my kids getting older, that’s the only thing kind of stopping me from going as long as I would like to,” said the Cleveland Cavaliers star before Thursday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors on U.S. national TV. “I have a 13-year-old son who’s in the seventh grade and is a damn good basketball player too, and on this road trip I’ve already missed four of his games.
