OAKLAND, CALIF. — It wasn’t a fadeaway over three defenders like he wanted but it was fitting that the anti-analytical DeMar DeRozan reached a Toronto Raptors milestone with a tough 12-foot floater in the lane here Tuesday night.
That basket — part of the outstanding mid-range game DeRozan has developed over his eight-year career — pushed DeRozan past Chris Bosh as the all-time leading scorer in franchise history.
It was one of the few bright spots in a 121-111 loss to the Golden State Warriors that exposed flaws in Toronto’s defence against one of the best offensive teams in the league.
