Early Wednesday morning, news broke that the Toronto Raptors had traded the face of the franchise, DeMar DeRozan, along with Jakob Poeltl and a protected first round pick to the San Antonio Spurs, in return for disgruntled superstar Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.
While there will be much discussion and heated debate over the merits of this move for the Raptors, both in the short and long-term, there can be little doubt that DeMar DeRozan will be remembered as one of the most dedicated, hardworking and loyal players in Raptors history.
