DeMar DeRozan first Raptor to lead NBA in scoring since Vince Carter

DeMar DeRozan has been off to a blistering start this season, and he now leads the NBA in scoring.

The Raptors’ guard has 36.3 points per game to lead the NBA. Oklahoma Thunder’s Russell Westbrook also exploded out of the gate but a “rough” 20-point outing against Golden State on Thursday night leaves him in second place at 34.2 points a game.

Portland’s Damian Lillard (32.6), Houston’s James Harden (31.8) and New Orleans’ Anthony Davis (31.6) round out the top five after Thursday’s games.

Toronto plays Miami Heat on Friday night at 7:30 p.
