Cory Joseph keeps Raptors going when fouls slow Lowry

In between Dwane Casey’s unprompted, elongated critique of referees —that came to any question he was asked about Saturday night’s win — was some subtle praise for Raptors backup point guard Cory Joseph.

The Pickering product and the sole Canadian on the Raptors played a huge role in the Raptors 99-84 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His line — 14 points, five rebounds and three assists — weren’t the show-stopping stats that Bismack Biyombo drew, but Joseph was integral in keeping the Raptors’ offence running when Kyle Lowry ran into foul trouble in the game’s early stages.
