WASHINGTON, D.C.—One day, we always said, it will be easy. We said this last year, too. Remember the closeout Game 6 in Milwaukee, when the Raptors finally avoided the knife edge of a Game 7? That was meaningful, right? A big step. I mean, they nearly blew it, and it was a terrifying spectacle really. But they didn’t lose.
One year later, the Raptors entered Friday night in a different position, and in the same place. The serious teams win this game and put the series to bed. Of course, the serious teams probably close out Game 4 against the Washington Wizards here and are home watching Cleveland and Indiana with their feet up.
