The Toronto Raptors must have thought it was Groundhog Day. In a pattern we’re all immensely tired of seeing, the Raptors took an early lead over the Chicago Bulls, then stood and watched as the home team mounted a comeback. The only difference was the local hero; instead of Jimmy Butler providing the offensive spark, Doug McDermott could do no wrong. For the eighth game in a row, the Raptors were defeated by the Bulls.
Coach Dwane Casey must have been apoplectic in the dressing room afterwards. He’s built his career on tough defense, yet his men were consistently embarrassed by the severely shorthanded Bulls.
