Bismack Biyombo spent four uneventful, if not disappointing, years with the Charlotte Hornets before signing with the Toronto Raptors last summer.
It was a signing that made few waves across the league at the time. Biyombo’s name was one that slipped through many free agency previews as the Hornets didn’t match the Raptors’ qualifying offer of a two-year, $6 million deal. SB Nation ranked him the 58th-most valuable potential signee at the time, saying, “At least he’s still young . . . we think.”
Sixty-nine games later, the 23-year-old centre has launched his career. His numbers — 5.
