As the new NBA season tiptoes ever closer, fans of the Toronto Raptors are both excited and worried.
A certain degree of schizophrenia is understandable. After over-achieving (c’mon guys – did anyone predict 56 wins? I certainly didn’t) in the regular season, and exorcising some playoff demons before bowing out, 2015-16 was a massive success. Is this year’s version of the Raptors capable of matching, let alone exceeding, that degree of winning?
Let’s set aside the cheerleading and try to be objective. If we go position by position, perhaps we can purchase a clue.
