A Raptors rarity: Kyle Lowry with a late hoop for the win

Related Topics: Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry has had a hard time making late-game, go-ahead shots in his career.

He entered Tuesday 1-of-21 on go-ahead shot attempts in the final 10 seconds of regulation or overtime. But he hit a tough, 21-foot fadeaway with 4.3 seconds remaining to give the Raptors an overtime win over the Pelicans.

Lowry had missed two such shots earlier this month (Jan. 7 against the Bulls and Jan. 25 against the Grizzlies), but the third time was a charm.

Lowry finished with 33 points and 10 assists. This is the first time in his career that he has had three straight 30-point games.
