A more powerful Ed Rogers isn’t what Toronto needs. He’s already the least popular sports owner in town

As one of Canada’s richest families engages in its very public knife fight, please don’t overlook the little things. Like when Rogers scion Ed Rogers tried to sink the re-signing of Raptors president Masai Ujiri after a meeting in Muskoka, and Ed tried to say Ujiri had brought bodyguards to the meeting. It seemed to be an attempt to paint Ujiri as arrogant, and even intimidating.

Well, about that: One of the two people accompanying Ujiri was his longtime driver, Amir. The other was Ujiri’s videographer, Jeff Landicho. Jeff was a driving force behind the “Open Gym” TV program for years; he is very talented, and if we are being honest, he is maybe five-foot-seven and pretty friendly.
