A hole in one Raptor’s mask is a reminder of how complicated NBA bubble life can be

It’s weird around the NBA these days. Everything is weird and out of whack and ever changing.

Three different arenas for games, a dozen or so practice facilities, workouts that might begin at 10 a.m. one day and 5 p.m. the next. There are day games on weekdays — if anyone’s even sure what day of the week it is — and temperature checks, and medical questionnaires that need to be filled out daily, and testing every day.

Things are going to be forgotten or slip through the cracks, and a gentle reminder every now and then seems as necessary as it is important.
