One lucky 50/50 raffle ticket-holder could have the bitter sting of the Toronto Raptors’ heart-breaking loss to the Golden State Warriors on Monday eased by a $1 million jackpot.
The whopping jackpot is believed to be the largest ever for a North American sporting event. The winning number will be announced on the MLSE Foundation website at 9 p.m. Monday night.
The previous record for a 50/50 draw at a sporting event was set on Nov. 28, 2018 by the Vancouver Canucks, which had a jackpot of $706,815 in a game against the L.
