Toronto Marlies explain decision to send goaltender Alex Stalock home

The Toronto Marlies acquired goaltender Alex Stalock in a trade with the San Jose Sharks just before the trade deadline which had sent James Reimer out to California. The 28-year-old native of St. Paul, Minnesota played in just three games for the Toronto Marlies since the trade. In those three games he posted a 1-2-0 record with a 2.66 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.

On Saturday, April 16th, 2016, Toronto Marlies, coach Sheldon Keefe was asked about the future of Stalock and if the team had sent him home, he responded:

"To say we sent him home is a bad way to describe it.
