Several NHL players were headed toward doing some big things this season.
There were guys who were on pace to achieving league records. Some were about to accomplish feats not seen on the ice in decades. Others were closing in on rare club marks. None of those barriers are going to be broken now. Let’s be honest — with each passing day, as the spread of the COVID-19 grows, the possibility that there will be pro hockey played again this season grows more remote.
