After the game last night, Sheldon Keefe honed in on the Sam Bennett cross-check on Michael Bunting with a comparison to the Auston Matthews cross-check on Rasmus Dahlin last year that result in a two-game suspension for Matthews, but the reality is that the incident Keefe offered “no comment” on — the Bennett takedown on Knies — was much, much worse.
