The Toronto Marlies are headed to the Eastern Conference Final after winning Game 4 of their second-round series versus Syracuse by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.
Toronto had a pair of power play goals in the first period courtesy of Dmytro Timashov and Andreas Johnsson. The latter goal – the eventual game winner – came on a five-minute power play after Syracuse’s Alex Gallant a major penalty and game misconduct for an elbow to the head of Mason Marchment.
The @TorontoMarlies are returning the Eastern Conference Final for the second time in three years.
